I love this creative business we are in. Ike and I have had the pleasure of being photographers for the last eleven years and although there have been plenty of sweet moments, what most people don’t know are the very long nights that led into even longer mornings; the huge mistakes; the failures; and the […]

Shooting families can be tough. They can be so difficult to pose, especially if they are larger, but small doesn’t always mean easy, which is why we came up with a few quick and easy tips for posing families.

Finding affordable education can be really hard to do. Ike and I, and our family, had the opportunity to join B & H for their annual Depth of Field Conference, back in February (just two weeks before Covid-19 got really bad) in New York City.

The Lord is gracious and righteous.  Our God is full of compassion.  The Lord protects the simple hearted.  When I was in great need, He saved me.  Be at rest once more, oh my soul.  For the Lord has been good to me.  You, oh Lord, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from […]

It’s so hard to believe that we are easily 6 months from another graduating class.  2017, was both long and so short.   It made the time we had with these guys fly and we are now just 5 short months from graduation season. If you are familiar with our work, you know that Ike and […]

Emma, gorgeous Emma!    What a joy it was to get to know her.  Emma is a Running Start student, which means she is attending high school and working toward her AA degree, while also finishing up high school, as a kick start to college.   She aspires to be a esthetician and is on track […]

Meet Mackenzie, a 2018 Sumner High School senior and our very first senior of 2018! Mackenzie is a doll and the little sister of a former Ike and Tash senior!  We were so thrilled and honored when she called and so super excited to open our senior season with her session. A cheerleader, Nordstrom Fashion […]

Ended 2016 right with these cuties! For no reason at all, except to connect and spend time together – we planned a Christmas break trip to Leavenworth.  After weeks of planning and connecting on ideas and concepts for a fun day east, we woke up to every road leading to our destination, blocked and no […]

It has been almost 7 years since we started our senior model program, more affectionally referred to as the ‘Ike and Tash Street Team.”  When we first started our rep program it was to create a link to the high schools and to high school seniors so that we could grow our business and become […]

10 Tips to Master Your Senior Year By Olivia Louise In honour of the school year starting (if it hasn’t already) I decided to give you “10 Tips to Senior Year.”  So I took it upon myself to chat with a few of my lovely friends and here is what we collectively came up together; […]

By Kacey Luvi When I first started a photography business 10 years ago, I was a poor, single grad school student with very few bills, very little responsibility and a TON of time on my hands. When an inquiry would come in for photos, I would nearly let the client completely dictate when their session […]

There is literally nothing better for the creative’s soul then being getting out and being creative.  It’s something that we often forget to do, but it brings so much clarity focus and reignited passion for the work. When my friends Christina, Spanki and True invited me to be a part of a collaborative to put […]

What happens when the thing you never thought would happen does? What happens when you unexpectedly get sick? What happens when someone you love falls ill or even worse dies? What happens when a natural disaster hits and destroys everything you've worked so hard to build? What happens when you become ill or paralyzed and are unable to run your business? What happens when you find yourself in a global pandemic and you're unable to work for months at a time? What are you going to do?

When we first started shooting, we couldn't afford many of the opportunities and workshops that were available for newbie photographers to learn and grow, so we really utilized the free communities online and locally to building relationships and to learn the trade. It was those years that shaped who we are as people in this industry and have helped us to value the journey.
