Gosh. It is so easy to forget how good life is. Its so easy to get caught up in feeling less than or without or just blah. You know blah? The word you use when other words just aren’t sufficient enough. I get into “blah” mode when I loose faith that the things that God has called me to aren’t going to work out. I get into blah mode when I’m feeling drained and uninspired and I can’t think of cool and new and innovative things to do. I get into blah mode when I don’t feel like I’m doing enough for the people around me who I love….. and then it feels like EVERYTHING in the world is wrong. I know you know what I’m talking about? I know I can’t be the only one. The problem with blah mode is that its so consuming and it blinds you to all of the good things that are happening around you. The thing I love about “Mobile Monday” is that it brings to remembrance all of the good things that happen in my life from week to week. Oftentimes I would forget, but every Sunday night I ready for this Monday post- that I’m hardly sure that anyone even reads-and I remember. Maybe its not about whether or not people read it. Maybe its about reminding me of how good my life truly is. When I can get down about barely fitting my clothes because I’m two sizes too big OR about not having the coolest newest gear to take our business to the next level or not being able to rock the latest fashion-God brings into remembrance in this teeny tiny post called “Mobile Mondays” about how good my life really is.
Its Sunday night- I am writing this post 1 day early on one of the most important days of the year in my life; the day I remember Christ and in all the hustle and bustle of life, it is on this day that we stop and think and remember the sacrifice that a truly amazing human being made for us. It pauses me and stops me and humbles me and causes me to reflect and to crucify my flesh and its desires and to be thankful.
Today started out rough for me probably because I didnt shoot as well as I had hoped, and my clothes didnt fall over my body the way I had hoped and because the world just was tilted to the left when I woke up this morning- but tonight I can sit back and realize how silly all of those things are and how thankful I am to be able to do what I love, to have clothes to wear and to wake up to a tilted crazy world that I get to work daily to try to change for the better! SO with that said… I am so thankful for each week when I get to share my crazy, silly life thru my cell phone pictures with you & I thank you for being my audience as I realize how blessed I am to live this simple life! Now… for the pictures:
Nothing like sowing into someone else’s dream- my friend Nyoka is getting ready to release her newest single “Calvary” and I got the honor of shooting the cover! I know its going to be incredible and lives are going to be changed. There is nothing like having friends who have big vision who you can give and bless as they bless you!
