Ah this post is such a long time coming. I finally understand what all of those self- employed, stay-at-home mom’s were talking about when they said that managing it all was quite the task! I am learning daily what the absolute juggling act of thriving business owner & rock star mom is and boy it seems that my 24 hours flies much more quickly then it ever has. Of course this means that things that were once important or once kept up with on a consistent basis has fallen to the wayside…. this blog included. Oh, but how I have missed it, how I have missed coming to this place and just pouring out in pictures and words and its time… it truly is time to come back!
So many things have happened in our lives the last year. If you are one of our blog readers, its likely you follow us in one of the other millions of places where our lives play out publically on social networking sites, but just in case you don’t and you happened across this blog on accident, in the last year, so much has happen, including but not limited to the following:
1.) Isaiah has come home from working a full – time job with Comcast cable to pour himself into our business
2.) we had a beautiful little girl named Wisdom (who is now 6 months old)
3.) we launched a new brand – we were formally “Latasha Haynes Photography” and are now “Ike & Tash Photography + Motion”
4.) we have added videography and mentoring to the list of services we provide
5.) we just recently launched our first ever boutique conference to take place in the fall in Nashville, TN (www.blinkconference.com).
Each of these things could easily have their own blog post and I hope to update you about each of them as they deserve to be highlighted, but for now, this is me saying, that we really really are back!
There is so much we have to share, beautiful weddings from last season, gorgeous families and stunning high school seniors. We have some really amazing e-sessions in store of some really wonderful couples that we get to help make memories with this year and some other really cool personal projects we have been hanging on to for quite some time. Needless to say, we have enough pictures to get us through the rest of 2013 and some.
Thank you so much for sticking by us through it all, understanding where we are and being so encouraging and kind! We are so thankful to be able to do the work that we do and appreciate that when we aren’t always on top of things that you are always right here waiting for us and willing to hop on board with us again!
Isaiah, Wisdom and I are getting ready to head to Las Vegas for the annual WPPI (Weddings and Portrait Professional International) Conference and we are so excited and ready. Every year we are renewed and come back with new and fresh ideas and ways of doing things because of this time with our community! We pray that this trip is no different and we cannot wait to share all that we learn there with you. We are thrilled to be back and we are better than ever! a
