This is the wedding that made me want to be Greek. I have always been enamored by the culture, but coming together to capture this wedding almost drove me to obsession. Kaarin and Demetri have easily become some of our favorite people. We first met Kaarin, a makeup artist (check her out here) at our very first wedding show in October 2011, called The Wedding Preview Event. After spending a few moments together, we immediately hit it off. We found out that she and her fiance were newly engaged and looking for a photographer for their wedding the following year. Much to our surprise not only did we gain friends from that event BUT also our first of many Greek weddings.
Kaarin and Demetri were married last September in a beautiful ceremony at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church. The energy was high. The room filled with lots of love and laughter and it felt so good to be RIGHT in the middle of it! Kaarin and Demetri have become two of our biggest fans, encouraging us and referring us to any and everyone who will listen.
Their wedding represented all I love about marriages and two families coming together: JOY and LOVE.
