Mornings with Wisdom {Tacoma Portrait Photographer, Tacoma WA, MGM Grand- WPPI 2013, Las Vegas, NV}

Uncategorized

This little girl, this little girl.  My sweet baby Wisdom.

Recently, we accompanied W to Las Vegas for the annual Wedding & Portrait Photographers International conference (WPPI) – I say we accompanied her because she stole the show, but that’s for another post.  We stayed in one of the newly remodeled rooms of the MGM Grand and one morning, my friend Laura Marchbanks came in for a visit and snap a few shots of Wisdom, which then inspired me to get my own.  Her deep chocolate skin against the stark white of the sheets was like a little Hershey chocolate kiss wrapped in white chocolate with a little bit of drool and spit up just for fun!

Wisdom is, easily already, the most photographed baby I know.  This could either do one of two things: 1.) make her despise the camera and photography OR 2.) make her absolutely love it – which of course would make us very happy.

No matter how many pictures we take or videos we record, they still don’t seem like enough.  I don’t know if its that way because she’s so cute, or because she’s our baby or because I am acting out because I have so few of my own memories of childhood in stills and motion, but at any rate, it doesn’t matter, because even if we had a million pictures of these last six months, it still wouldn’t be enough.  I want to save and savor these moments forever!

The really cool thing about Little Miss is that she’s so happy and wakes up with so much joy!  Its almost like she starts smiling and laughing in her sleep and waking up to this angel would make anyone’s day.

The sun woke me up and then I tiptoed over to my camera and went to work.  My snapping stirred Wisdom and these images are what we got.  Mornings with Wisdom are the best ones.  I praise God that every single one of mine start with her.

“If any of you lacks wisdom; you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” – James 1:5-7
