Nicole and I booked her family pictures in the fall of 2009 for the February of 2010! In fact, I think Nicole booked me before I had any real portfolio of work–on faith that I would create some lasting memories for her and her family…. little did she know that the day of her shoot […]

These girls are AMAZING!  They finish eachother sentences… they sound the same and they look the same, but they are so their own people.  These girls were soo full of energy and such a blast to be around. Friends of my cousin Mary, I was not only excited but THRILLED when we agreed to do […]

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I get to shoot my very first wedding on March 6th and I am so excited!! The victims: Katherine & BJ–not victims, just kidding, but I am ABSOLUTELY thrilled that they want to work with me and can’t wait to rock the house with awesome awesome pictures.  I predict that I will shoot thousands […]

her skin is flawless and perfect and she is SO fun!  Seriously…. I have great skin, but this girl!  WOW!  I have known Marvia since the days when we carried pom-pons for opposing teams, cheered at cheer camp in hot Ellensburg, WA every summer and screamed like family when we saw eachother in the mall.  […]

Junko contacted me because she needed business cards…. my first official business card shoot! I love Junko so of course I screamed YES because any chance I get to spend with her and her amazing husband, Ivan, is like getting to spend time with the most incredibly beautiful and humble celebrities.  They are sooo amazing […]

Below two gorgeous models done up by Nika and followed up with a few headshots by yours truly!  Leighann and Juliete both work with me at Goodwill and […]

Awesome family at the church invited me to come hang at their house for a hour to capture their precious baby girl in 1st birthday pictures.  This little girl is soooo sweet although some of the pictures might show otherwise!  I loved hangin with Jordan and her big bro Christopher (who is a really committed […]

A couple of weekends I got the chance to shoot a family of four from my church and a great new friend, Brittany. I posted a sneak peek before, but below are a few of my favorites from that day!  Originally we had planned to head to Seattle Center, but like in most situation, the AWESOME […]

This photoshoot was a loooooooooooooooooooooooong time coming.  So many things try to keep Nika and I from getting together and making the pictures happen, BUT THIS TIME I said, RAIN OR SHINE we are making this thing happen and LO and BEHOLD, no rain! It was cold, but NO rain. Nika has been a FAN […]

I met Brittany at my weekly women’s bible study, “Wordshop” and have loved her from day one.  Brittany is one of the most incredibly dedicated mothers I know, working hard to provide the best for her kids spiritually, materialistically and emotionally.  Not only is she a small business owner, a mother, a friend–but she always […]

You know how much I love this little girl… I mean LOVE her.  Just spent the afternoon with her and got a few images!

Braendey lives on the floor below and is the fun, innovating and exciting leasing agent that convinced Isaiah and I that there was NO BETTER place to live in Tacoma, and so far she was right!  She invited me over to her place to do a few headshots and was the PERFECT model.  Kacey once told […]

What happens when the thing you never thought would happen does? What happens when you unexpectedly get sick? What happens when someone you love falls ill or even worse dies? What happens when a natural disaster hits and destroys everything you've worked so hard to build? What happens when you become ill or paralyzed and are unable to run your business? What happens when you find yourself in a global pandemic and you're unable to work for months at a time? What are you going to do?

When we first started shooting, we couldn't afford many of the opportunities and workshops that were available for newbie photographers to learn and grow, so we really utilized the free communities online and locally to building relationships and to learn the trade. It was those years that shaped who we are as people in this industry and have helped us to value the journey.
