I absolutely LOVED shooting Morgan and loved her creativity. For the first part of her senior session, she wanted an inspired themed shoot. She had the idea to re-create a tea party, inspired by Alice, in the fairy tale story of “Alice and Wonderland.” She grabbed her bestie and we headed to the the […]
Every time we get to shoot a wedding I am thankful. We love the opportunity to hang with our bride and grooms on such a special day. This day only happens once so its so important to have people who love you around you, including your vendors. It was so much fun hanging with Tenee, […]
I absolutely love family pictures, but what I love even more is when families get their family together to capture everyone together, just the way they are in that moment. When Jenette called me with the idea to get one half of her family together for a session, I was pumped and thrilled. Over the […]
There are so many things I love about photography and I could probably list them here for the rest of the day, but some of my favorite work that we have done this year has been our weddings. Weddings are so fun because you get to see LOVE at its very best. You get to […]
Nicole and I had such a great time hanging out around Tacoma taking pictures to chronicle her senior year. She is so cute and so much fun! I had a blast getting to know her as we gallivanted about. Nicole is currently heading into her senior year at Wilson High School and is our VERY […]
Happy Labor Day everyone! Hopefully you spent your day enjoying family, relaxing, getting caught up or whatever it is that you would live to use a extra day for. Around these parts we did all of that. It was so fun feeling like we had a day off from life. We watched movies, hung with […]
Isaiah and I recently go the opportunity to shoot Kelcie, a recent 2011 graduate who is making her trek down to Los Angeles to start her career in fashion at Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. We met right before sunset in a old industrial part of Tacoma to take some pictures that mark where Kel […]
The absolutely CUTEST family ever. Christina and Steve won our photography package, complete with hair and make up services from the talented Anna Groves and Kristal Locke, at the Christian Faith Schools auction. The last two years we have been in business we have donated a package and have sighed a huge breath of relief […]
I am embarrassed that its taken me three weeks to get a Mobile Monday post up. But the reality is that its been a crazy three weeks. This is our first official wedding season with a full time photographer and season senior is heating up, all things we prayed and hoped for BUT never anticipated […]
It seems like we had been planning this session forever!! Khush contacted me in late Spring to reserve her spot of August 6th, a special day for her family, which every year marks a important milestone, their wedding anniversary, this year marking 7 years. She had the session all planned- they would meet me at […]
EliAnais contacted us quite a while ago for a session with her and Gabe. It was winter time and rain, sleet and snow kept post-poning the dream session that EliAnais and I had planned in our heads. Fast forward 6 months and what was planned as a session for two, now becomes three?! OR two […]
Shooting Nia was such a blast! We loved it. Her pretty chocolate skin and her fun personality won Isaiah and I over in a big way. Nia’s mom contacted us in a effort to freeze time and to remember her sweet girl at THIS age for ever. 8 years old??! They grow up so fast! […]
What happens when the thing you never thought would happen does? What happens when you unexpectedly get sick? What happens when someone you love falls ill or even worse dies? What happens when a natural disaster hits and destroys everything you've worked so hard to build? What happens when you become ill or paralyzed and are unable to run your business? What happens when you find yourself in a global pandemic and you're unable to work for months at a time? What are you going to do?
When we first started shooting, we couldn't afford many of the opportunities and workshops that were available for newbie photographers to learn and grow, so we really utilized the free communities online and locally to building relationships and to learn the trade. It was those years that shaped who we are as people in this industry and have helped us to value the journey.
