The Misfit Tour stopped in Seattle early last week and it was incredible for a multitude of reasons. 1.) The message and movement was absolutely incredible.  The Misfit Tour.  Being a Misfit for God.  Being so uncomfortable in this world that you can’t even find a place.  That your uncomfortable.  Uncomfortable with the status quo. […]

One thing that has been so fun about this world of photography is reconnecting with some young adults of my past.  For the last 10 years leading up to this moment in my life, I was in youth development.  I have worked with some of the biggest non profits in Tacoma serving young people in […]

What do say about Amanda, except that she is stunning, but not necessarily physically, her absolutely personality shines through in everything she does.  A sweet spirit who is self-assured with a quiet confidence makes for a really amazing high school senior in my eyes.  Isaiah and I had a blast shooting Amanda a few weeks […]

Tisa is my saucy senior with spice!  She is bold and beautiful and knows what she wants, which is why I was not suprised when she called me with her complete senior session planned and ready to go, she just need a photographer.  I was honored that she wanted us and glad to hear her […]

Teddi was SUCH a trooper for her senior pictures, literally.  Days before our session was scheduled, she was hanging out and stepped on something that got lodge in her foot.  After hours of trying to get it out herself, with mom’s help of course, they realized the situation was MUCH too severe and had to […]

There is nothing more special then a family picture! I talk about it all the time.  They are so valuable to keep track of your family’s growth and development.  When Ike and I have our little family, I cannot wait to book sessions with some of our favorite photographers. Its so much fun to see […]

Sweet sweet Megan.  So quirky so fun.  She had two commands, maybe three.  No posing.  Beautiful light and a few pictures with her 1970’s Beetle.  I said yes and we met up at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, WA to make it happen.  No posing, so I chased her with my camera.  Perfect […]

I absolutely LOVED shooting Morgan and loved her creativity.  For the first part of her senior session, she wanted an inspired themed shoot.  She had the idea to re-create a tea party, inspired by Alice, in the fairy tale story of “Alice and Wonderland.”   She grabbed her bestie and we headed to the the […]

Every time we get to shoot a wedding I am thankful.  We love the opportunity to hang with our bride and grooms on such a special day.  This day only happens once so its so important to have people who love you around you, including your vendors. It was so much fun hanging with Tenee, […]

I absolutely love family pictures, but what I love even more is when families get their family together to capture everyone together, just the way they are in that moment. When Jenette called me with the idea to get one half of her family together for a session, I was pumped and thrilled.  Over the […]

What happens when the thing you never thought would happen does? What happens when you unexpectedly get sick? What happens when someone you love falls ill or even worse dies? What happens when a natural disaster hits and destroys everything you've worked so hard to build? What happens when you become ill or paralyzed and are unable to run your business? What happens when you find yourself in a global pandemic and you're unable to work for months at a time? What are you going to do?

When we first started shooting, we couldn't afford many of the opportunities and workshops that were available for newbie photographers to learn and grow, so we really utilized the free communities online and locally to building relationships and to learn the trade. It was those years that shaped who we are as people in this industry and have helped us to value the journey.
