Wisdom is on the move & giving me a complete run for my money.  She is learning how to crawl, which at the current moment looks a little bit like a exasperated breast stroke into the carpet with many, many breaks to breathe in between.  Can’t be easy trying to drag a 23lb body across […]

I am almost positive that 2012, among many other things, was significant because of the rebirth of the “Baby Boom.”  I easily can count 20+ people I know who were pregnant before me, with me or after me, of which 5 of them were in my family (5 cousins, 5 NEW baby girls).  In addition […]

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.  Proverbs 1:7 Happy Friday!

I have the joy of being a part of a beautiful photography community called Pursuit 31, a Christian community full of woman who like me are in LOVE with pictures and anything surround the creative process really.  The last couple of years I have had the complete honor of leading a group of Seattle ladies […]

Meet Trevor.  Meet Julia.  They were married last August, two short weeks before Wisdom was born.  Isaiah was already shooting a wedding that day & they were JUST looking for bridal portraits.  We were ALL nervous that I wouldn’t be able to do the job, let alone ALONE, but two hours in sweldering heat, we […]

Last weekend was pretty special as we watch two of our friends JUMP head first into following their dreams.  We are so inspired by that “jumping-head-first-into-the-unknown” spirit of living life, because MUCH of the decisions that have suited us best have been THOSE types of “gut-wrenching-stirring-cant sleep-at-night-type of itches.”  The reward for going after your […]

When we met Kati & Juan Carlos we knew they were a couple that we would want to get to know.  They are full of personality and love and culture.  We instantly connected and talked about travel, God and fashion over our Starbuck lattes on a late winter night.  When they shared their story of […]

So fun to shoot this high energy wedding of two of the sweetest and kindest people we have ever met.  Alyssia and Jonathan cherish each other and their love for eachother is contagious! It was such a joy to be a part of such a special day last June as they got married in Kent, […]

What happens when the thing you never thought would happen does? What happens when you unexpectedly get sick? What happens when someone you love falls ill or even worse dies? What happens when a natural disaster hits and destroys everything you've worked so hard to build? What happens when you become ill or paralyzed and are unable to run your business? What happens when you find yourself in a global pandemic and you're unable to work for months at a time? What are you going to do?

When we first started shooting, we couldn't afford many of the opportunities and workshops that were available for newbie photographers to learn and grow, so we really utilized the free communities online and locally to building relationships and to learn the trade. It was those years that shaped who we are as people in this industry and have helped us to value the journey.
