Meet Brittany. Absolutely stunning ball of spice, energy and laughter. One of our shortest members of the street team, I didn’t realize until she showed up to her session in sandals and being vertically challenged myself, I towered over her. One of the things I love most about seniors + this street team idea is […]
I had hoped to have all our 2012 Street Team members introduced to you by now- but wedding season and portrait season picked up and slammed me so unexpectedly, in addition, we have chosen the most active seniors on the planet to represent our brands SO of course my well planned out attempt at getting […]

I love when a family makes pictures a priority. There is nothing like having them done for the moment, but its really for the long term that makes pictures so important and so magical. What’s even cooler is when families have pictures taken for the first time and they realize in that moment that the […]

Layci and Nick have over the last 11 years become some of our dearest friends. It was Layci who I worked my first job together at 18 co-directing a camp for “at risk” youth in Tacoma’s Hilltop. Nearly 5 years later, Layci took a leap of faith on me and hired me for one of […]

What happens when the thing you never thought would happen does? What happens when you unexpectedly get sick? What happens when someone you love falls ill or even worse dies? What happens when a natural disaster hits and destroys everything you've worked so hard to build? What happens when you become ill or paralyzed and are unable to run your business? What happens when you find yourself in a global pandemic and you're unable to work for months at a time? What are you going to do?
When we first started shooting, we couldn't afford many of the opportunities and workshops that were available for newbie photographers to learn and grow, so we really utilized the free communities online and locally to building relationships and to learn the trade. It was those years that shaped who we are as people in this industry and have helped us to value the journey.
