Isaiah and I met Karsten, about a year ago when we were just starting out. He helped us make it through and master our first stylized photoshoot (where we had NO idea what we were doing, but we had fun) with my good friend Michelle Marie of Borgialli Designs and her beautiful dresses. A fun shot […]
One thing I love about this job over every other job I have ever had is the connections that I get to make! I met Nicki back in 2004 at my VERY first job out of college. Although I didnt stay at that job, neither did she, this new job of photography brings me + […]
Welcome to your NEW + improved blog brought to you by our friends at Photography Blog Sites who we met last week in Las Vegas at the annual WPPI photographer’s convention. Isaiah + I had a blast at the conference and came back wanting to do and operate out of complete and total excellence, which includes […]
I love photographing beautiful girls… and I am lucky because everyone I photograph is beautiful–but the best kind of beautiful is when you are but it comes with humility and kindness. Shalene with her beautiful black hair and bright blue eyes ia the best kind of stunning and I loved every second we shared. She […]
Have you ever met a “jill-of-all-trades??” If there is such a thing, I am sure its Carmen! She does it all make-up, a small boutique, event planning and coordinating all while attending school, being a wife and raising a beautiful baby girl. Carmen’s personality is big and bold so when meeting her for the first […]
The last year has been incredible for me. It has been a year where I have pressed in and believed God’s word over and over about my life, a year where I have gone after all of the things that I know I can have in Jesus Name, a year where God has opened up […]
You’ve seen Ebony here before, almost a year ago when we shot her with a smokin hot foreign exchange student. This time Ebony contacted us for a fun session! She’s like a real barbie doll + let me play dress up with her. This girl is gorgeous and has a heart of gold. Check out […]
Sweet sweet Jasmine with the kind heart and super incredible personality, stunningly gorgeous…. just absolutely beautiful and a little shy in front of the camera. I had a great time kicking it with Jasmine on a sunny January afternoon in downtown Tacoma. She and I and her crew, which consisted of her very helpful boyfriend, […]
Had a great time shooting Sherry + her 5 year old twins hanging at a local park on a typical NW day! Enjoy a sweet sneak peek of their first experiential family session.
Earlier this year… which really means, about 6 weeks ago, I got the opportunity to spend the week in Utah learning, hanging + assisting another photographer who’s work I have grown to love over the last year ( you will meet her in a few posts down the road). While there I got the opportunity […]
It was a cold cold cold day in January, in fact the second day of January, which makes Angelica the first senior of 2011. This girl was a blast + so beautiful! We laughed and hugged so that she could stay warm and enjoyed the crazzzzzy amazing golden light that God provided for our shoot. […]
Every thing about our first family session of the year was divinely appointed… I am almost positive. To the fact that we had to cancel the Sunday before because of rain, which allowed us all to get to church to hear a inspiring word from our pastor (www.caseytreat.com), to being stuck in traffic after Tasha […]
What happens when the thing you never thought would happen does? What happens when you unexpectedly get sick? What happens when someone you love falls ill or even worse dies? What happens when a natural disaster hits and destroys everything you've worked so hard to build? What happens when you become ill or paralyzed and are unable to run your business? What happens when you find yourself in a global pandemic and you're unable to work for months at a time? What are you going to do?
When we first started shooting, we couldn't afford many of the opportunities and workshops that were available for newbie photographers to learn and grow, so we really utilized the free communities online and locally to building relationships and to learn the trade. It was those years that shaped who we are as people in this industry and have helped us to value the journey.
